Qwiki Creator - a game changer in education
This is not my first teaching or education or e-learning blog. In fact this is my eight blog or something like that. I've been blogging about tech for teachers for many years, but I am suffering from this "blogger's block" resulting in me deleting blogs and posts in certain weak moments.
Anyhoo, this isn't what this article is about, but I just feel I have to say it and this is why: I blogged about it and I saw the potential with Qwiki quite some time ago when very few knew about it. And now everyone's talking about it. Fair enough - Qwiki is awesome for most things, but if you are a teacher, it is even more awesome. And now, very soon, Qwiki will give us Qwiki Creator and oh - my - lordy! I am slobbering here!
I joined Qwiki alpha on October 30th, 2010 and I remember my first blog post about Qwiki contained one little request: please, Qwiki, please let me be able to create my own multimedia Qwiki presentations! And some time after that, I heard that this was about to happen ( I think I tweeted a question and it was replied with something like "Oh yes, that is in the works!"). And now, Qwiki Creator is very soon here and it's just what I want and just what I need and it is just what I and a billion of educators and teachers around the world have been screaming for for hundreds of years AND I AM GETTING SO EXCITED ABOUT IT I AM EVEN STARTING TO USE CAPITAL LETTERS!
So, from what I understand (Qwiki, you just gotta let me have a go now, during the alpha version, especially now when you know I have been following you since 2010 so please just send me that invite, will you?) you can add you own video using webcam, your own voice using webcam/mic, your own photos and other media and mix it all together with the stuff that's already on Qwiki. And what you get is a media rich presentation of your liking. And it is interactive, just like Qwiki - click click click!
And here is what it will/can look like:

So I guess I can only sit back and wait for that alpha invite request to drop down in my inbox. Holy cow I am so looking forward to it!
